Build Qondor’s product and technology direction at a defining moment of growth

Qondor is the Nordic leader in meetings and events management software, with strong and growing traction in the UK and beyond. Our platform replaces a patchwork of tools with one connected workflow, from first request to final invoice.

In 2025, around 44,000 events were delivered through Qondor across more than 15 countries. More than half of our ARR already comes from outside Norway. Backed by leading B2B software investor Monterro, we are entering a new phase of international growth - and in a market where many companies are scaling down, we're investing heavily in product, engineering, and AI.

We are now looking for our CTO - a product and technology leader who can both define our platform strategy and build alongside the team to make it real.

The role

As CTO, you will own both product strategy and technical direction, ensuring tight alignment between customer value, commercial priorities, platform scalability, and AI opportunities. You will lead Qondor’s Builder organisation and report directly to the CEO.

This is a pivotal moment to join. We are investing heavily in AI across the platform and redefining how we build, deliver, and iterate. You will set the direction and demonstrate it by doing — through architecture decisions, code, and shipping product alongside your team. Your responsibility is not only to adopt AI tools, but to turn them into a structural competitive advantage.

You will shape how product and engineering work together, how decisions are made, and how execution scales as the company grows internationally.

What you will do

• Define Qondor’s long term product and technology strategy, including the role of AI as a value creating layer across the platform

• Lead and develop the Builder organisation, ensuring strong collaboration between product and engineering

• Make architecture decisions hands-on - prototyping, reviewing code, and staying close to the codebase, especially in the early phase

• Establish a clear and scalable architectural direction that supports international growth

• Drive disciplined prioritisation and transparent trade off decisions

• Embed AI driven development practices that accelerate time to market while maintaining quality, security, and reliability

• Address technical debt, structural bottlenecks, and scalability risks proactively

• Strengthen deployment pipelines, quality standards, and engineering best practices

• Foster a culture of rapid iteration, learning, and outcome focused delivery

• Take a technology agnostic approach, choosing solutions based on product value and long term sustainability

• Build a small, high-output team - not a large organisation. We believe great engineers with great tools outperform headcount.

• Act as a bridge between market and product, ensuring that customer insights, commercial priorities, and competitive dynamics shape the roadmap and technology investments

Who you are

• You've built something - a product, a company, a platform - and know what it takes to go from early stage to traction. Experience as a founder, co-founder, or early technical leader in a scaling company is highly relevant

• Strong strategic and technical judgement, able to balance innovation, scalability, and commercial outcomes

• Hands-on with modern SaaS architecture and cloud platforms - you can and want to write code, not just direct others

• Experience implementing AI driven product or development initiatives that delivered measurable impact

• A product first mindset with a clear focus on time to market, time to value, and customer impact

• Structured in prioritisation and decision-making, but comfortable with ambiguity and moving fast

• Comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels

• Experienced in building organisations, not only systems
