This is a full-time paid internship during August - December 2026.

Well, unlike most traditional investment firms, working at Monterro delivers a combination of both long-term strategic and hands-on operational focus. In the role you will:

• Divide your time between our experienced transactions and operations teams.

• You'll be assigned meaningful tasks that’ll provide you with in-depth insights

• Participate at meetings with prospects (Nordic B2B software companies looking to grow)

• Participate in the full deal cycle which means sourcing, valuation, negotiations, due diligence and closing of deals. 

• Get involved with our portfolio companies, contributing to fulfilling their growth strategies – e.g. through market and competitor analysis as well as participating in add-on acquisitions

• Participate in board meetings and strategy sessions, giving you senior exposure and a network across the Nordics

Our team is packed with diverse, smart colleagues with decades of experience in growing SaaS companies – ranging from seasoned deal experts to former software executives.

Who we're looking for

If you’re the right candidate for us, you are:

• Studying a Bachelor or Master level studies in Economics, Business management, Finance, Engineering or similar areas (if Bachelor level, we'd like for you to have completed min. 2 years)

• Exposed to similar tasks through earlier part-time jobs or internships (e.g. corporate finance or strategy consulting)

• Ambitious and a self-starting doer

• Keen to learn

• Analytical

• A team player

• Interested in the tech and SaaS industry

• Comfortable using Excel and PowerPoint as well as relevant AI tools

• Equally comfortable communicating in English and one Nordic language
